YOUTH UNITED

Now more than ever, improving the state of mental wellbeing of children and young adults is among the most urgent priorities for southwest Georgia. However, when the topic of mental health is oftentimes discussed, young people are left out of the conversation.

Even when their trauma or mental health is recognized, their maturity is questioned, and they are left out of decision-making regarding their own lives.

The goal of Youth United is to dramatically improve the health and well-being of our community by addressing Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and the mental health of children and young adults by

using one of the most powerful tools available: youth voice.

If you are a teen in the Dougherty County School District and would like to learn how you could join the Youth United: Teen Mental Health Coalition, please complete the questionnaire below.
